Linux
Install ARM64 distributions from ISO, create cloud-init-enabled environments, attach shared folders, and use SlateVM’s Linux guest-tools path. A strong fit for services, build systems, reproducible development, and desktop compatibility work.

Provision from supported ARM64 installation media with UEFI, TPM, virtio devices, unattended-install inputs, shared-directory support, and a dedicated SPICE console.
Linux on capable Apple silicon
Build Linux environments for virtualization-aware development, infrastructure validation, and VM-in-VM workflows—without leaving SlateVM’s guided creation experience.
On supported Apple-silicon hosts running macOS 15 or later, SlateVM can request Apple’s nested-virtualization capability for Linux guests. The option is available only when the host framework reports support, keeping configuration aligned with the Mac that will run it.
