macOS host

SlateVM on your Mac.

Apple silicon Macs run macOS, Linux, and Windows virtual machines — each in its own window, all driven by the same built-in MCP server.

Guests

macOS (from Apple restore images), Linux desktop and server (ARM64), and Windows 11 on ARM.

Requirements

A Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 14 or later. Bridged networking uses SlateVM’s optional networking service.

How it runs

macOS and Linux guests use macOS virtualization; Windows on ARM uses SlateVM’s dedicated accelerated runtime.

Native consoles

Responsive display and precise keyboard, pointer, and clipboard for every guest.

Run x86-64 Linux apps

Linux guests can run Intel binaries and amd64 containers on Apple silicon.

Suspend and resume

Quit a VM’s window process and the VM is suspended to disk; open it again and it resumes.
