SlateVM maps Mac keyboard events, pointer coordinates, focus, and pasteboard actions into guest-appropriate input paths, with dedicated coverage for Windows scan codes and console geometry.
A compatible AI agent can capture the guest console, read it with OCR, send keyboard, pointer, scroll, and text input, then inspect the result. Headless Linux adds exact serial-console reading and input for a direct text path.
The display stays local to the Mac. Apple Virtualization views render macOS and Linux guests through framework-native paths; the Windows console connects to a local SPICE server over Unix sockets. This direct local path preserves console quality and responsiveness.
These controls remain useful long after setup. An agent can return to any supported guest, observe its current screen or console state, continue the work, diagnose a failure, and leave the machine running for a person to take over.
